New Work

Here is one new print that I produced before Open Studios in September, entitled 'The Witches' Night Out'. Obviously, this should have been posted in time for Halloween! But it's within a week...!I just felt that I should update my blog with one new piece.
I am currently busy with my new book commission for The Folio Society, and am working on the cover. More details to appear later on! 

OPEN STUDIOS 2011

There will be an Open Studios weekend at my studio building on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September, from 12-6pm. There are over 30 studios there, and many of the artists will be taking part, covering many mediums including painting, ceramics and sculpture. I will be exhibiting small etchings.
The address is: ACAVA Palace Wharf, 56 Rainville Road, Hammersmith, W6 9HS.

We are normally part of Open House London, and this year may be found on their website. 
Our studio building has a private terrace backing on to the Thames, between Hammersmith and Putney.

New Work: 'Good Behaviour' book illustrations, 2011

Here are some illustrations from the eighth book I've illustrated for The Folio Society, which I finished in July. It will be published in November. It was 'Good Behaviour' by Molly Keane. All are in etching and aquatint.

Here are some illustrations from the most recent book that I have illustrated for the Folio Society, which was published in November 2010- 'Dream Days' by Kenneth Grahame. This book is now availiable through the Society. I am currently working on my eigth book for them.

Boat Race Day Open Studios- Photos

We held our mini Open Studios event on the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race Day, March 26th, and here are some photos from the day. The afternoon was quite well attended by friends of the artists and the public (and also the Mayor of Hammersmith and Fulham!).

Our next main Open Studios event is scheduled for the third weekend in September (dates to follow), but we may hold another mini open studios day during the summer. I will post a date when I know.

Boat Race Open Day

We are having a mini Open Studios afternoon at my studio building this coming Saturday, March 26th, from 12 -4pm (door open). It coincides with Boat Race Day, and the race can later be viewed from our terrace at approximately 5.30pm.The address is Palace Wharf Studios, Acava, 56 Rainville Road, W6 9HS.

About eleven artists are expected to take part and open their studios. I will be showing mainly small etchings, as I have done previously at Open Studios.  I am currently working on a new book.
All are welcome to visit this Saturday!
